Strawberry Upside Down Cake

INGREDIENTS:

½ cup (125 ml) sugar

° 2 tablespoons cornstarch

° 4 c strawberries cut into quarters 1 teaspoon vanilla +

Cake:

° 2 c (500 ml) flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

° 1/4 teaspoon salt

4 large eggs, at room temperature

1½ cups (375 ml) sugar

° 1/2 c melted butter

° 1/2 cup (125 ml) vegetable oil

1 cup (250 ml) milk

° 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
