STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE

Outdated Strawberry Shortcake! New strawberries, cut and macerated in sugar, spooned over newly heated rolls, finished off with whipped cream and you have a delightful natively constructed strawberry shortcake. What better method for conjuring up recollections of the delights of youth than strawberry shortcake? Strawberry shortcake is perhaps the simplest treat to set up, an ideal completion to a family dinner or for serving an enormous gathering, since it scales with such ease. To make strawberry shortcake, you should simply throw cut new strawberries in sugar, and let a little to macerate. The sugar will coax dampness out of the strawberries and break down to make a sweet sauce. Serve the strawberries over white cake or bread rolls, and top with whipped cream.
